Friday Night Raves!

Belinda Barnes and I just came across this Rave in an open field on Friday, September 23, in Toastyville Music Park @ Lesten.   It seems this is a regular event every Friday night, until late.

We are not sure what was going on, but it was a blast.   Here's some photos.  I just thought that they were worth sharing with you.

Nearby in the same region is the music venue The Bakery, for those rave munchies I suppose.

The Grid's Always ALIVE with Music - Twin Ghost at Gwampas; Darkshore at Key West

Checking in with a few photos from the Twin Ghost show at Gwampa's earlier this week.   I thought I would share some pics from last Monday.

Later that night, I popped over to Key West to see The Follow's Troy Shoreland, a.k.a. DarkShore.    It's good to see him working solo -

but really I'd be torn to choose.  The band and its members are talented in their own right.  A.J. Darkwatch listened on as her partner/band member, as well as did many of the followers of The Follow.  Troy performed an excellent acoustic solo set.

Great nite on the grid!  Two fantastic outdoor venues. So next time you think there's nothing to do on a Monday night  - check out the live music scene.

Duran Duran Party at Tion

Another party on the Duran Duran Universe.  This time on the edge of Tion in the sky in a huge rectangle red cage that held the party goers captive all afternoon.  The theme was "Sinners and Saints" and Vixie Durant deejayed the event.  All danced in the bloody rain and flames in the sky, above the chapel and ferris wheel.

All was in good fun, and DDU Manager Chrissy Welinder was a dark angel.

My friend Belinda took a ride on the Ferris Wheel.

Great time was had my all; join the Duran Duran Fan Club (SL group) for more information.  To read my interview with Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes, go to my earlier blog and link to Best of SL Magazine online.  See you at DDU!

Fun at BOSL Radio

Lots of newcomers came by during my live show on BOSL Radio at Renaissance Galleria and Editorial Clarity came after me at noon SLT to launch 2011 Fashion Week.    I have a new robot friend, Lordbender, who dropped by today while I was on-air.  Catch me for my Saturday show, 11AM SLT, featuring SL musicians.

Sugarland at RockNGames

I went to RockNGames to hear the country music band Sugarland.  I have to say, I was totally impressed.  Kinda Fallen Loordes did a superb performance as Jennifer Nettles (lead vocals) and Devil Loordes as Kristian Bush was the perfect complement.  The lighting was on the spot.  The music didn't miss a beat, and captured the feeling of a Sugarland concert.  The duo with back-up vocals from SL's Red Raleigh, Nazirah Ansar, Saunders Weezles, and Savage Morrisey were well versed and the animations were realistic.   The energy was incredible and the audience enjoyed the show, dancing and applauding.

Happy Binder, owner of RockNGames, was welcoming upon arrival.    The complete experience was fun, and professional.

Then we all hopped over to Happy's nearby club, checking out the mix of rock tunes.

All in all, a great Sunday evening with some easy going people with great taste in music.
